Lilly’s Dream

"Lilly’s Pentatonix dream was made extra special with a limo ride to the concert where she also go to meet the group"

Lilly Bitner is a bright child with a bright smile. But sometimes, even the brightest of smiles have a hard time shining when battling illness. After being referred to us, the Dream Connection volunteers were eager to give Lilly and her family something to smile big about.

Lilly is a big fan of Pentatonix, a very popular a cappella group consisting of 5 vocalists. They rose to fame several years ago after winning The Sing-Off competition on NBC and they are now atop the billboards. Just this year, they even performed at the CMA’s. Due to their popularity, their concerts sell out in a matter of minutes and when Lilly said that her Dream was to go to a Pentatonix concert, DC Volunteers were ready for a challenge.

One of the many great things about the people who volunteer their time to the Dream Connection is their drive to make each dream as special and unique as possible. With the help of social media and friends networking together, Lilly’s Pentatonix dream was made extra special with a limo ride to the concert where she also go to meet the group. Other special treats along the way made it a very memorable experience for the whole family. We received the following thank you letter from Lilly’s mother.

I can’t put into words how grateful I am to everyone at The Dream Connection for a wonderful trip for Lilly and our entire family! In addition to the Pentatonix concert, we were also gifted a night at Medieval Times with backstage access and Lilly was knighted and spotlighted as “The Queen of Love and Beauty” another great night! We visited the Coca-Cola museum and we stopped at Ruby Falls on the way home. We had gift bags at the hotel waiting for us, and full choice of the snack area there at the hotel.
Again, thank you, and look forward to the Radiothon in December! – Karisa Bitner

As a group working together, great things are possible and this special Dream for a deserving east Tennessee child is proof of that. Contact us at the Dream Connection to learn how you too can be a part of this great charity and help brighten the smile of a child.
